Available in two finishes: polished for a bright, reflective surface, or matte white — heat-treated and acid-pickled to a soft frosted grain that reads more like porcelain than metal. A single stem weighs approximately 5.5g. About This Piece
The sunflower was grown from seed in the designer’s own garden — planted in spring, lost a few to weather and insects, bloomed in early summer. The silver version came from the same season: carved while the real flowers were still open, cast before they turned. Made in an independent Chinese studio where the wax carving, casting, and finishing happen at the same bench. Each piece carries the small marks of hand-finishing — slight differences in petal angle and leaf curl that come from working by hand, not from a mold. If you’re gifting sunflowers in a form that lasts, this is the one.
