The same poppy grows on both sides of the world.
In the West it keeps what should not be forgotten;
in the East it carries a fallen emperor’s spring river of sorrow.
Its meanings gather quietly: hope in adversity, a hidden romance, a free soul.
Gathered in silver — some blooms open, some meanings stay closed.

Material & Craft
Each part of this silver poppy bouquet begins separately in wax: the crinkled edge of an open flower, the round tension of a closed bud, the cut leaves, and the fine curve of each stem. The forms are cast in 950 silver, then joined, refined, and arranged by hand. At this scale, the relief of the petals and leaves remains visible rather than becoming a flat floral outline. Small differences in angle and spacing belong to the final arrangement, because each bouquet is assembled rather than stamped as a single metal poppy flower.
Displaying & Gifting
Choose the quieter two-bloom bouquet or the fuller three-bloom arrangement. Each rests easily in the palm and can remain in its paper on a desk, beside a book, or in a narrow vessel. Presented as a hand-tied flower rather than a sculpture on a base, it keeps the intimate gesture of something freshly gathered. As a poppy flower gift, it can mark an August birthday, a private turning point, or an affection that does not need a public name. More hand-gathered forms can be found in our silver bouquets.
About This Piece
In the West, the red poppy came to carry public memory: a small flower standing in for what should not be forgotten. In China, the same flower name carries another inheritance through Li Yu’s Yu Meiren: spring flowers, autumn moon, and grief flowing east with the river. The two traditions do not tell the same story, and this piece does not ask them to. It returns instead to the question beneath both: how can a flower hold what time takes away? More than a thousand years after Li Yu, on another misty morning, the poppy returned at the workbench. Rebuilt in 950 silver, its open blooms and closed buds leave the answer unfinished. The same flower moves differently in our poppy earrings.

A Note on Handmade Work
Each piece is cast and finished individually. Small variations in texture, shape, or surface are part of the process — not defects. For jewelry with natural gemstones, expect slight differences in color and pattern from piece to piece.
CARE & SIZING
Care
Sterling silver develops a natural patina over time — that’s part of its character. To slow the process:
– Remove before swimming, bathing, or exercise
– Keep away from perfume, lotion, and household chemicals
– Store in the included pouch or a dry, enclosed space
– Wipe with the polishing cloth included in your order
Every order comes with a silver polishing cloth and a care card.

For sized rings, leave your ring size in the order notes at checkout. Not sure? Leave a message — we’ll reach out to confirm before crafting.
Handcrafted Process & Packaging
Every piece begins as a block of wax and a quiet idea — carved in the hand, tested against skin, before it ever touches fire.
Lost-wax casting does the rest. The wax melts away, silver fills what remains. What emerges is rough, honest, full of the maker’s decisions. Then the slow work begins — filing, polishing, setting stones one by one, until only what belongs is left.
Your order is wrapped the same way it was made: by hand. Paper box, polishing cloth, care card, wax-sealed envelope — tied with string, not tape. No plastic. No filler. Because the last step of making something well is sending it well.
