I Set a Fire | Red Agate Ring in 999 Fine Silver

Shaped by hand in wax, this red agate ring is lost-wax cast in solid 999 fine silver. The broad band carries an eye, radiating marks and irregular relief formed in the wax model, then refined and stone-set by hand. A natural Nanhong agate sits within the silver; its depth of red and internal markings will vary from stone to stone. Wearing & Styling
The width gives this silver eye ring the presence of a small object rather than a narrow band. The red stone interrupts the pale silver without becoming a conventional center, while the relief continues around the finger and changes as the hand turns. About This Piece
I Set a Fire began as an original drawing in which eyes, flames, stars and moving bodies gather around the word destruction. The ring keeps only fragments of that field: an eye held open, a red stone like an ember, and marks that refuse a clean sequence. It does not decide whether destruction is an ending or the first act of another order. Like the other pieces in Flowflaw’s Symbols Adrift collection, the symbols remain open; the relation between them continues with the wearer.
