Hand-carved in wax and cast in 990 pure silver using lost wax casting — 99% silver, softer and warmer in tone than sterling, with a surface that reads quiet rather than mirror-bright. These silver shell earrings come in five shell forms: a ribbed scallop scattered with raised silver granules, a plain scallop with nothing but its fluting, a frayed shell whose ribs break open at the edge, a fringed fan finished in a comb of tips, and a whirled shell whose ribs turn around a single point. Every rib and granule is drawn by hand at the wax stage before casting, so no two pairs come out identical.

Wearing & Styling
Big enough to be the only thing you put on. Shell stud earrings at this scale can drag on a lobe; these sit flat against it rather than hanging from it, so the ear carries the weight and not the piercing. With hair down, only an edge of the silver shows; with hair up, the whole shell reads. Choose one style for a matching pair, or two if you’d rather the ears disagree. About This Piece
The maker spent a summer on shells — sun, water, and the things left on the sand after the tide pulled back. Not a factory, not a warehouse: an independent studio in China, a bench, and a lot of time. What arrived from that season is a shoreline of five, cast in silver. Shell earrings in silver are common enough; these are five separate answers to the same stretch of sand, and the sea kept none of them the same.
